Betsy Ogburn

Betsy Ogburn is Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is also a member of the Institute for Data-Intensive Engineering and Science at Johns Hopkins University and affiliated faculty of the Center for Causal Inference at University of Pennsylvania. In 2020 she founded the Covid-19 Collaboration Project to promote data-sharing and the efficient use of randomized trial data to find effective COVID treatments. Her research focuses on causal inference, with a focus on settings with complex dependence. Betsy completed her Ph.D. in Biostatistics at Harvard University and is a 2016 National Academy of Science Kavli Fellow and a 2022 recipient of the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies Emerging Leader Award.
